Why This Matters

Colors and materials are the building blocks of shopping in any language. Whether you're in a Paris boutique asking for a shirt in a different color, or describing what you're looking for online, this vocabulary is immediately practical.

Invariable Colors (never change!)

These color words never take gender or plural endings:

orange, marron, beige, bordeaux, kaki, turquoise, crème
