Section 1: What You've Mastered

The Alphabet & Sounds: You know the French alphabet and how accents like é, è, ê, and ç change a letter's sound. You also know the golden rule of silent final consonants — and the CaReFuL exception!
Greetings: You can say Bonjour, Bonsoir, and the casual Salut, and you know Bonne nuit is only for bedtime.
Politeness: You know the magic words: s'il vous plaît / s'il te plaît, merci, de rien, excusez-moi, pardon, and je suis désolé(e).
The Verb ÊTRE: You have memorized the foundation of French: je suis, tu es, il est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils/elles sont — and its four main uses: identity, profession, location, and feelings.
Introductions: You can say your name with Je m'appelle..., ask for someone else's, and respond with Enchanté(e).
Checking In: You can ask Ça va? and give a variety of responses, plus the formal Comment allez-vous?
