Achieving a CLB 9 (Niveau C1) in the Expression Écrite requires more than just good grammar. Examiners are looking for precise vocabulary, logical progression, and the ability to adapt your tone to different situations.

Task 1: The Short Message (60-120 words)

Task 1 is a friendly message, usually recounting an event or making a proposal. The tone must be informal but grammatically flawless. Use a variety of past tenses (passé composé, imparfait) to show off your range early on.
